Where are you located?

We have two locations.
Our Wolfeboro office is located in the heart of downtown at 22 South Main St. Wolfeboro, NH.
The building is very large, yellow/beige, and has many businesses on the first floor including a real estate agency. The entrance to the counseling office is next to Bailey's Bubble Ice Cream. Our suite is located on the third floor and there is no elevator at this location.

Our Wakefield/Union office is located right off route 16 at 112 Main St, Union NH.
The colonial style building is very large, bright blue, and has the sign "Stonecraft House" at the driveway entrance. Our offices are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors and there is no elevator at this location.
*For this location you can put Wakefield NH or Union NH into your navigation and it will bring you to the same address. â€‹

Where do I park?

At our Wolfeboro location there is ample free street parking. Parking has no time limit during winter, fall, and spring. During the summer, parking spaces can be more challenging to find and there is a time limit of 2-hours per spot. If coming to our offices during the summer please plan to arrive with enough time to locate parking and walk to your appointment.

At our Wakefield/Union location we have private parking.

Do you offer telehealth/online counseling?

All of our therapists are able to provide telehealth services. There can be circumstances factors that could make this method of treatment not optimal for all clients. Your therapist can discuss with you whether or not you are a good candidate for telehealth,

How long do therapy sessions last?

Therapy sessions typically last for 50-60 minutes.
Play therapy sessions, for very young child clients, last 50-minutes so that the provider has time to reset the room before the next client.

How long will treatment last?

This question has no set answer. Each person has a unique background, reason for engaging in therapy, and life circumstances. You will make a treatment plan with your therapist and communicate often on your progress towards reaching your mental health goals.

What happens at our first appointment?

During an intake appointment, your therapist will ask you a lot of questions to learn about your concerns, symptoms, support system, and history. You will discuss goals of treatment. Your therapist will share about the type(s) of therapy they practice and go over confidentiality.
You are encouraged to ask your provider any questions that you have.

For adult clients: you will engage one-on-one with your therapist.
For tween and teen clients: you and a caregiver(s) will connect with your therapist for all or most of your intake.
For young children: A caregiver(s) will do an intake online with the therapist, and then the child will meet with the therapist in person on a different day.

How is therapy different from talking with my friend or family member?

Having a close friend or family member to talk with about personal problems is an important part of having a healthy support network. However, sometimes we need a trained expert, an unbiased person that we can share deep and unfiltered information with, without worrying about their reaction. Talking with a therapist in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental atmosphere can help you uncover previously unrecognized behavioral and emotional patterns, while providing you with evidence-based tools for recovery. â€‹
